November 16 @ 12:00 pm – Yuzhen Ye and Cassidy Sugimoto – Wells Library, E174 Conference Room
Yuzhen’s research areas include bioinformatics, metagenomics, data science, and more! Most recently she has taught introduction to bioinformatics, data structures, and machine learning in bioinformatics. She is also the new undergraduate education director for computer science majors. Cassidy Sugimoto is a professor in Information and Library Science with research areas in scholarly communication, science communication, and more. She is the chair of the IUB Faculty Council. Her talk on gender equality and human development in science was presented at an international conference and she has much to share with you. RSVP here!

Professor Katy Borner is the director of the Cyberinfrastructure for Network Science Center at IU with research areas in science mapping, 3-D collaborative virtual environments, cognitive science, visualization, data modelling, etc. She teaches in cognitive science and informatics. Some research interest areas for Professor Allison Fish include health informatics, social informatics, technology, and law. RSVP here!

Salesforce: Corrie Colombero Speaks about Grad School and Life in Industry, November 11, 11:30 am, IMU Dogwood Room
Corrie Colombero graduated last year from the HCI/d graduate program here at IU just last year, and is now working at Salesforce as a user experience researcher.
